Show Me What You’re Saying
The number one reason people doubt in others is because they doubt in themselves. Just because they believe they can’t do something is the reason they believe others can’t either. The only way we can change the thinking of people is by doing more and saying less. In the eyes of so many of us, talk is cheap. We’ve heard it all before, but haven’t seen anything the talk was supposed to produce. So, instead of talking, why not let the results speak for themselves? People are inspired by people who are doing things or who have already done them.
Can’t Dispute Tangible Proof
The potential client said, “You claim you can help me become a published author. So, what are your qualifications?” After I showed her my five self-published books, we began working on her becoming a self-published author as well. True story.
We can tell someone we can do something, but if we’ve never done it, doubt in our claim will be fairly high. Now, if what we say we can do we have done many times, doubt will be fairly low, if it exists at all. Tangible proof eliminates the need to say what we can do. It needs no support. So, instead of spending time and energy attempting to convince people of something we have plans on doing, why not just do the work, and allow the fruit from the labor to erase all doubt.
After The Fruit, Comes The Reward
Once we have achieved success on more than three occasions, this opens up the door to achieve even greater success. So many of us are always in search of options that will help us live our best life. Our searches lead us to people who seemingly have it all together, so we connect with them, be it directly or indirectly. We hope they’ll offer us something that will bring about the reason for the initial connection, which again is options that will help us live our best life. If they offer something that accomplishes this goal, no matter the degree, we’ll be willing to walk alongside them a bit more. And if the results only get better with time, we’ll be willing to do whatever it takes to stay connected with them, and as for long as we feel we need to be.
The power of an influential person lies within their ability to not only help people believe they can do anything, but by having them act on the said belief as well, with no doubt.
It’s action that gives belief meaning. Even if the said action doesn’t produce the desired result initially, it will establish a willingness to continue. And in our relentless pursuit to apprehend whatever it is we chase, it’ll eventually be captured, and thanks to our refusal to never give up.
So, In Closing
Don’t talk about it, just do it.
Tangible proof is irrefutable.
Achievement is the gift that keeps on giving.
