The Three C’s

Some time ago, I introduced people to the three E’s that form the foundation of my writing. Just in case you aren’t one of those persons, the three E’s in question are encouragement, enlightenment, and entertainment. Without question, I know that every person on the planet needs at least one of the three daily. And if you were to think about it with an open mind, you’d know it too. But this offering isn’t about the past, it’s about the present. So, without further delay, let’s get into it.

Seek And Ye Shall Find

A true seeker of truth must possess an egoless way of being. The mind must be open to doing more than considering other options. Consideration is not acceptance, it’s giving something or someone the opportunity to reveal worth. The only way for us to truly know the value of something or someone is by embracing our curiosity. To know is not belief, it’s proof established by comprehension and conclusion. But knowing is ever growing. There’s always a better way, because there’s always room for much better. Here is where the three C’s come into play: Challenge, Confirmation, and Clarity.

Challenge

If we’re hellbent on defending what we know, we deny ourselves the opportunity to grow. There’s nothing inappropriate about standing firm on what we think to be true but, like with everything, truth grows. There are steps that lead to greater truth. This great truth is the challenge to the truth we currently know and love. The challenge is to get us to question our thinking. But we will only question our thinking if we have an open mind. Those who truly seek truth minds are never closed off to the perspectives and opinions of others. They welcome dialogue that makes sense, that will make them think, and have them question.

Confirmation

After accepting the challenge, establishing confirmation is now the priority. We establish confirmation by weighing what we currently know to be true against this new truth. We analyze both truths thoroughly to see which one will be more beneficial. An egoless individual will base their decision on the greater good for not only self, but humanity as well. Our decisions are always bigger than just us and those close to us. More often than not, the ripple effect equates to a tsunami. So, we must respect the process if we expect our progress to produce the promise. The question we should always ask ourselves is: which option is better overall? And whichever one we choose, there should be no regrets.

Clarity

Overall, clarity should be the goal. Clarity is seeing things for what they are, and not as we wish them to be. When our understanding is clear, we’ll make better decisions, and this makes for better living. What has worked well for us in days gone by has something waiting in the wings to help take us to higher heights. But clarity only works if we aren’t afraid to be challenged and establish confirmation. And at the center of it all is being an egoless being. It can’t always be our way but, sometimes, our way will be the better way.

Always keep your mind open to perpetual options. Because there’s always more than one way to do everything. If it’s always our way or the highway, the highway will experience a gridlock.

As always, I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.

Peace, Love, and the utmost Respect.
