A drabble

‘A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author’s ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.’- https://en.m.wikipedia.org>wiki

When we bless people because we can our blessings usually come from someone we'd least expect, and in our time of need.-Henery X

Willie West has been a patron of Fans Of Food restaurant for over fifteen-years. Throughout this time, he has gotten to know the owner and his family well. They regarded him as more than a customer, as he regarded them as more than good people providing his meals.

“How was everything?” A man asked. He smiled afterwards.

“As always Tony, excellent,” Willie said cheerfully.

Tony was the owner.

“Willie, for your unwavering support, the family and I have given you fifty percent off every meal from this point forward.”

“Oh, Tony. Thank you kindly.”

“We love you, Willie.”

“Same here.”

If I know your nickname, how many times you’ve attempted to live your dreams, and what you love doing more than anything else, we’re no longer strangers in my book.-Henery X

We may simply regard a number of the things we do as no big deal, while others may look at them as things we didn’t have to do. I say it all the time. What we spend our time doing is an indication of what matters most to us at that very moment. Willie could have easily chosen to patronize any other restaurant as he had done with Fans Of Food, seeing this was his prerogative. But the ambiance, service, and food kept him coming back to the place that felt like home. His frequent visits motivated the owner and his family to get to know him better. And the more we get to know people the less we treat them like strangers.

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my offering.

Remember. I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.
