Words are only meant to introduce actions but some actions, prefer to introduce themselves — Henery X
I just don’t talk about supporting entrepreneurs, I also put my money where my mouth is, and, I promote their products or services as if they were my own. If I want us all to win, and I do, then my actions must reflect this fact at all times.
Being an avid reader makes it easy for me to support fellow writers, especially those I have close ties to. Currently, I have 76 paperback books and 43 ebooks, which were all created by writers from Instagram. I’ve interviewed most of the authors in question, which allowed them the opportunity to promote their books. Why do I show love in this manner? Well, for one, and for me, it’s just the right thing to do. And secondly, so many people have shown me love. So, what type of man would I be if I refused to support others, as I was supported? Every time I support someone, I’m paying homage to those who supported me, as well as to those who still support me.
Word of mouth is the number one means of support an entrepreneur could ever hope to receive. When someone makes mention of anything to anyone, that’s word of mouth. Word of mouth is simply putting others in the know of something they may not have already known. Word of mouth could turn one sell, into three hundred and one sells. Yeah, it’s just that powerful.
The chance of word of mouth being effective depends on the number of people who are made aware. We all know at least ten people, who know ten people, who know ten people, etc. So, we can tell one person about something, who turns around and tells ten people about the something, and those ten people tell twenty people apiece about the something. Yeah, word of mouth is the number one means of support an entrepreneur could ever hope to have. Everyone won’t be interested in what’s being said and though others may seem interested, it may not lead to the desired result. But in-between the two aforementioned realities lies the individuals who’ll be supportive. These are the individuals who’ll derive from both sides of the middle, so this is why it’s important to share with as many people as possible. And sharing can be done during everyday conversations, it’s never a need to force the issue. “Hey, what are you reading these days?” “Currently, nothing. Why, do you have any suggestions?” “Do I?” It's just that simple.
I’m a huge fan of all those who are out to be self-sufficient, it’s among the greatest things we could ever think to do for ourselves. I’ve created several platforms on social media geared towards allowing entrepreneurs to promote themselves. Whatever they have going on they can speak about it until there heart’s content. One such platform is called, Your Voice Matters. On the said platform I interview mostly writers and then after the fact, I let them speak about what they’re doing, as well as what they plan on doing in the not so distant future. I also allow them to read something they have written, the platform truly lives up to its name. I also have another platform on Clubhouse called, Writer’s Way. Here we read, write, and discuss all things literary. The primary objective is to build bounds and to allow our voices to be heard, seeing it’s an all audio app.
Support doesn’t always mean spending money, though at times spending money is a necessity, it’s not primary or even secondary for that matter. Number two on my means of support list is encouraging words. On many occasions someone close to me said what I needed to hear and that redirected my focus back on moving forward, and off of giving up.
We must become the change we desire to see or begin to question our level of sincerity — Henery X
