Purpose:

the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

For years, I thought what we were most passionate about doing was our purpose. My thinking has changed recently because of my open mind. Clearing up space in my mind for the perspectives of others gave me more options to consider. And like I like to say, options are a great thing, the more the merrier. Hearing various options left me thinking of other reasons why we primarily exist. This stage of pondering had me examining what each person loved doing had in common. This journey would bring about the major shift from belief to knowing.

I thought back as far as I could think, reminiscing about all the times when famous people mentioned the famous people who influenced them. I mean, literary hundreds of people proudly spoke of how others were the primary reason for their success. But if the influencers would have never shared the results of what they loved doing, how would the influenced ones have been influenced? It was what they saw or heard that inspired them to begin their own journey.

We are not the only ones who do what we love doing. So many people before us have done what we love doing, and they did it better than we do it now. But us knowing of their success inspires us to desire to surpass it. But why, though? Because we hope that our shared accomplishments will have the same effect on others. And as long as we share the results of what we love doing, we will influence others. Without sharing, no one could ever know of our accomplishments, so they could influence no one.

So, in closing. Share the results of what you love doing because someone needs to see it, so they can begin sharing the results of what they love doing. Because not only does sharing influence others to start their journey, it also gives them the courage to share the results as well.

You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand. — Woodrow Wilson

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my offering.

Remember. I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.

May we never lose our desire to outdo what we’ve already done.

Peace, Love, and the utmost Respect.
