Writer’s Way writing prompt
In 200 words or less create a poem or short story to, “You Think You Know,” Inspired by Henery X, and for the Clubhouse club Writer’s Way.

No Clue

You think you know, but don’t have the slightest clue. What it takes for me to create. When my mind offers perpetual options, and each one is better than the last. Decisions, decisions. Deletes and revisions. It’s enough to drive a sane man to the brink of insanity. But behind the wheel of my imagination, creativity is the final destination. And when I arrive, the thought is thankful to have survived. So much so it inspires desire to start a fire. Or should I say an eternal flame. That burns out of control, but the burn is at the core of my soul. So, I’m going to live until I die, and once I die. I will live in the hearts and minds of all those who search to find the will to grind until they outshine. The Sun, in the race against time, I’m on one helluva run, and I’ll never be second to none. Because in the first place, I jog at a steady pace. Who I was yesterday is the only person I think to chase. Outside competition is not a wise decision, because it will eventually introduce me and my peace of mind to permanent division.
Note: The system used to display the words for the YouTube offer got lost in translation. So, some of the words that appear on the blacked out screen aren’t what was said. But it’s always a different vibe to hear the written word recited, well, for me it is. This is why I share the audio version.
