We will all feel like we are lost in the Sahara desert without drinkable water in the world.-Henery X

Whatever was in the serving bowl moved so fluently that it had my undivided attention. I mean, sure, I could see it was a brand of fruit punch, but I was quite sure the motion wasn’t just due to the punch. I grabbed the ladle and filled one of the cups with some of the energetic liquid. I looked around and noticed a few of the other guests were consuming cups of the punch. Nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary but then, to my surprise, the punch in my cup rose up in the form of a person, with a speaking voice to boot.

“How are you this fine evening, Mister Henery?”

“I’m totally confused.”

“That’s understandable. Well, let me start by saying you’re in no danger.”

“Thank God for that.”

“Thank God indeed. In fact, this moment is due to the Most High.” “Really?”

“Yes. You are among the chosen few. You have demonstrated the ability to attract and hold the attention of the people. Plus, your way with words is exactly what’s required for your assignment.”

“Assignment?”

“Yes. You need to convince the powers that be that the drinking water of this planet will soon be undrinkable.”

“How am I expected to do this?”

“By using your way with words. You’re always telling people their voice matters, right?”

“Yes.”

“Well, you’re a person as well. So, this means your voice matters as well. And with this being the case, it’s time that you let it be heard, loud and clear.”

“I mean, I know what to say. But how am I suppose to make the people who oversee the ways of this world listen to the point they’ll begin to make the necessary motion?”

“Your duty is to deliver the message as clearly as you can, this is all that’s expected of you. You can force anyone to do anything they don’t want to do, but you can make it where they’ll think about what you’re saying. And thinking long enough could motivate action, to the point a change will become mandatory.”

“You’re pretty wise for a puddle of punch.”

“All the Glory be to the Most High. Like yourself, I’m a means to get a message across. So, do you accept your assignment?”

“I do.”

“Well. I wish you well. Your effort will decide the fate of the world.”

“Okay. Thanks for that revelation.”

“You got this, child of God.”

A problem doesn’t get solved if we just because we want or need it to. We need to put our fate in one hand, and grab the hands of one another with the other hand. The only way we can change the ways of this world is together. One person can do a little, but together, we can do it all. All our voices matter, but only when we allow them to be heard do they make a difference.

Silence is golden until it isn’t.-Henery X

Writer’s Way is a club I started on Clubhouse. It’s a safe space where readers and writers come together and support one another. If you’re in search of a community where you’ll always leave feeling better than when you arrived, then look no further than Writer’s Way. Your Voice Matters. So, come allow it to be heard.

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my offering. May all you deserve and desire flow abundantly into your life, as a river does into a sea.

Remember. I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.

Continue to be a lighthouse for all those who feel lost in the sea of life.

May we never lose our desire to outdo what we’ve already done.

Peace, Love, and the utmost Respect.
