The Lifeline
2022, Henery X
Everyday I rise from rest,
I silence the voice in my head by saying, “I may not be the best, but I’m always going to do my best,
Failure is never an option, because success is my only goal,
I don’t compete with others,
because I regard them as sisters and brothers,
In other words, family members,
and together we’re knocking down big dreams, as we scream timber,
See, I changed my mind,
now my thoughts align with the Great Divine,
and my tangible symbols are the ultimate sign,
That when we walk the righteous path,
and do the work, greatness will be the aftermath,
So, are you ready to rise and shine?
As I say, what’s mine is yours. Are you willing to say what’s yours is mine?
But we just can’t speak the words,
See, actions after the words are what will make others believe what’s heard,
And there’s no time to be discreet,
It’s all about recite, react, and repeat.
