The Almighty Twenty-six
It never ceases to amaze me how much twenty-six letters have been responsible for, as well as what they continue to be responsible for. Books, songs, movie scripts, directions, etc. I often ask myself, “where would we be without the written word?” And my answer is always lost. There are many things I love to write, but the two things I love creating most of all are short stories and acronyms. Both means allow me the opportunity to influence reality positively, which is what I believe writing should always be about.
Short Stories
The only thing fictional about my short stories are the characters because the situations are real. The goal of my short stories is to provoke thought, as well as activate action. They derive from either some conclusion from a direct or indirect experience, or from a reality I would like to see made manifest. I never write about things I don’t know about. Not saying I am an expert on anything I write about, but what I have concluded via experience I stand behind, before, and on either side of. One of my favorite sayings is, “I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.” My stories are my opinions. Like with all opinions, mine are subject to being accepted or rejected, which is perfectly fine with me. I just love to share what I’ve been through, as well as what I desire to someday go through.
Acronyms
When I have a problem with something I write about it, and then I share what’s written on social media. One of the many things I have a major problem with is the definition of certain words. Definitions of words are nothing more than the opinions of some person or people. So, seeing we can accept or reject opinions, I choose to do the latter when it comes to certain words. Acronyms allow me the opportunity to redefine words to my liking, notice I said to my liking. I never attempt to convince anyone to believe as I do, I just share how I believe and let the act produce what will be. I believe through definitions mind control is performed at its worst. The way words are defined is how we’ll use or won’t use them. So, I take words that have been given a bad name and give them a good one. And to make my definitions known I either put them in books or on T-shirts, which is the best way to make the unknown known.
Moral of this story: There are many ways we can make a difference with free words, one being helping to change lives for the best, which includes our own. So, always write with purpose on purpose.
Our work is how we immortalize ourselves. The measure of recognition depends on our level of creativity. We were not created to create the same. Even though we possess the same light, our gift to shine is unique. — Henery X
Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my offering.
Remember. I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.
May we never lose our desire to outdo what we’ve already done.
Peace, Love, and the utmost Respect.
