Dueling Duality

Everyday after I rise from rest
I prepare myself to deal with either the spirit or the flesh
And my way of thinking will determine the winner of the contest
Though they work well together
One will always be meant to make the other better
One is finite, while the other is meant to live forever
I always ask myself, what are the expectations
Of your creations
Is it to generate fortune and fame or to help unite nations?
The selfish self
Or the selfless self out to help others generate generational wealth?
In my attempt to succeed
I find myself constantly sidestepping greed
With my only guide being what I want I truly need
You're bearing witness to how I determine which side of me will follow, while the other half will gladly take the lead
The dudes of duality dueling with neither ducking danger or dancing around decisions designed to determine the destiny of days to come. Damn! So different, but the same diligent disposition to leave the other lying dormant for the moment
Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my offering. May all you deserve and desire flow abundantly into your life, as a river does into a sea.
Remember. I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.
May we never lose our desire to outdo what we’ve already done.
