I walked into the tattoo shop thinking of getting a tribute to the woman I love. The Queen in question has never let me down, even when I wasn’t worthy of her loyalty. She would do anything if it meant I would be happy, an asset in my life, without question.
“May I help you?” The shop owner said pleasantly.
“Maybe,” I replied. “I was thinking of getting some work done in honor of my favorite girl.”
“Sounds nice. Have you ever gotten a tattoo before?”
“Never.”
“So, what did you have in mind?”
As I thought about the question, I reminisced about the woman in question. Shortly after my trip down memory lane ended, I turned and walked towards the door of the shop.
“Hey, I thought you wanted a tattoo?” The shop owner said. The disappointment in his voice was apparent.
“I thought so too. But then I realized that my memories of her have me already inked. Have an awesome rest of your day. And may your success continue to exceed your highest expectations.” I exited the shop smiling, as I strolled down the sidewalk thinking of my beloved mother.
