Five Reasons Every Writer Should Want To Become A Published Author
Every writer should develop a desire to add published author to their list of things accomplished. I feel so strongly about this belief that I encourage every writer I connect with to make every post on social media, an entry in a book template as well. Creating a book isn’t as hard as it may seem and it gets easier once you think about the suggestion I said I offer to my fellow writers.
Below are five (5) reasons I strongly believe having a book we created is vital.
With a book under our belt, we have made it possible for future generations to see how we thought in a time before their own. Where the youth of years to come may conclude that there was no hope here, our words could change their minds. Just imagine being able to influence change a thousand years from now. This thought alone should make any writer eager to become a published author.
2. Proof That We’re A Serious Writer
Being a published author eliminates the need to say we’re writers because our book (s), will offer all the proof that’s required. Certain friends and family members may regard our writing as a hobby, seeing that they’re on the outside looking in. They do not know the love we have for making our thoughts visual because all they see is a bunch of words. But when our hard work and dedication produces something they never foresaw coming, it’ll make sense to them. Once our collective thoughts are not only being purchased and read by a multitude of people, we don’t know but are helping to influence change as well, it’ll make sense to them. When we create a book, we’re no longer just a writer, we’re a published author as well, and that’s kind of a big deal, in any circle.
3. A Helluva Highlight On Our Writer’s Resume
Every writer should have a resume specifically for this occupation, seeing that writing is a profession. Like with all resumes, that of a writer should include all the things that make him/her appealing. The goal of a resume is to reveal all the things we need not say verbally. It’s a written summary of our qualifications, as well as a glimpse of our character. To have that we’ve published a book on our resume may not get us a particular job, but it will not hinder our chance. Being a published author shows that we’re serious about writing because though writing a book isn’t all that difficult, it’s not so easy either, and it might just be this level of commitment that lands us in the position. Being a published author gives us an edge and in this competitive world we live in, we can all use every advantage we can get.
4. To Be In The Company Of Greatness
Dr. Na’im Akbar, Rhonda Byrne, Iyanla Vanzant, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, and Alex Haley are amongst the many authors whose books make up my library, a library, which now includes my three books as well. My efforts are sitting amid some literary giants who have all influenced me in some shape, form, or fashion. Imagine having your book (s) amid ones that inspired you to change your way of being. Now, imagine your book (s) possibly having the same effect on others. It’s time to stop imaging and start making this thought a reality. All who write have something that a multitude of people need to read, and several of them aren’t even born yet.
5. To Read Your Mind

Two great quotes, by two extraordinary women. Imagine how they felt after making their thoughts visual. Now, just think how they’d feel knowing I loved their thoughts so much that I featured them in this piece.
When we can read our minds, this will give us a better understanding of our thinking, which could change our way of being in a major way. Imagine having written a self-help book that you can read to help yourself. That’s some powerful stuff right there. You can refer to your own words to resolve personal problems. I mean, wow, that’s powerful, so much so it just literally blew my mind.
So, there you have it, my five (5) reasons every writer should want to become a published author.
My goal for the rest of this year is to make entrepreneurship the new trend to follow, as well as to convince every writer I know to publish a book.
We were all born to eventually work for ourselves but also with others, creating heaven right here on Earth for ourselves, as well as all those we love.
I want us all to win, so I try to ensure everything I write reflects this. It’s never about me, but always about us. We’re not all sharing this space (Earth) we call home by accident. This was by design, just as us thinking differently was. Our thoughts are different so that when we come together, it’s a learning/teaching moment. This is how we truly evolve. We shine our brightest when we shine together.
